What is the best way to bass in the summertime?  That’s easy!!

110 Degrees is no match for my way of fishing in the summer.

Drive down to the local store that has bass and pick out a nice one take it home and cook it up!!
Really? Where the adventure in that no excessive sweating, no baked sunburn on exposed skin.

For those Die hard fisherman they have done their homework and now where to go before they go out on the water. then it is a process of elimination once they get on the water depending on what is presented to them.
For the novice fishermen they are just praying for something to hit their bait. they may have some stray luck if they have done some studying.
Bass tend to like to stay with a select styles of structure. Lake dependent on what is available. Is there grass in the lake if so Bass relate to the grass so well that more of them stay near it than move to deep structure without grass. A few factors can change this. is there strippers in the lake? They a more of a dominant fish that will run off the other bass. Water temperature will run the bass out into deeper water so you should look for those deep water structured areas.

Don’t know the lake Topo  then without it, just stay shallow. All the normal types of structure you read and hear about of course have potential. There are points, tank dams, roadbeds, and drop-offs. These will get you started in the right direction, but the key that I believe is the most important part of deep-structure fishing is that there is only a small portion of the structure that will hold fish. You can also look for suspended fish on your fish finder once spotted then you should know that there is some sort of structure nearby.
To make it not so miserable a good portion of the die hard do this at night to eliminate some of the extreme conditions, they know where their honey holes are and then they just drop shot down to them.
Deep structure fishing can pay off big dividends if you have calculated correctly but it can also be goose eggs if you don’t quite hit the honey hole.
So do your home work and follow it it up with doing your time to really find your honey hole you can call your own instead of borrowing someone else’s spot.
